SVB client Dream Big Sports has demonstrated great strides in embedding social value, as showcased in the release of its new Annual Social Value report. This social enterprise contacted us in 2022 to undertake a gap analysis, develop a measurement framework and deliver social value training.
Our Specialist Dave McGuinness had the pleasure of working with the organisation to meet their brief, and was delighted to hear how they have been getting on. The report shows the organisation has gone from strength to strength in terms of its social value approach and delivery, with highlights including:
- £3.25 Social Return on Investment
- £2.5m social value delivered
- Engaging with 13,000 unique children
- Over 21,000 hours of provision
Most importantly, stakeholders have given outstanding feedback to suggest that young people are more engaged, active and confident as a result of the organisation’s work.
Director Dillan O Connor said:
“After releasing our very first annual report 12 months ago, our incredible team has been dedicated to building on our previous achievements which is evident in the significant growth across each of our Key Value Indicators within Education, Holiday Camps and Training. Alongside our focus on Workforce & Employment, it has resulted in an increased Social Return on Investment (SROI).
“Now in our third year of tracking the impact of our provision, we have a sound understanding of what Social Value means to Dream Big Sports and how we commit to reinvesting back into the community alongside our additional Mission: Dream BIG! initiative. This has four specific pledge themes and targets to achieve with the support of key partners and stakeholders.”
